D.W. Wilburn is the general contractor of this new high school located in Lexington, Kentucky. The 280,000-sqare-foot school is situated on 65 acres along Winchester Road and is being constructed in response to the rapid population growth in eastern Fayette County.

Frederick Douglass High School is a state-of-the-art facility designed by Tate Hill Jacobs Architects as a flexible, 21st-century instructional space with the inclusion of both a "living lab" and traditional classrooms to be used to prepare students for STEM careers. The facility will also house the Carter G. Woodson Academy for boys.

Students will begin studies in the new high school in August of 2017.
